I am recruiting one PostDoc in my group at Inria Saclay, Ecole Polytechnique near Paris. PhD and master thesis candidates are also welcome to apply. As part of a new dynamic INRIA Team located in Saclay, you will have the possibility to collaborate with other quantum information researchers in Paris area and abroad.
mm-Wave photonics in crystals – This project aims to create a new laser-based approach for generating frequencies of increased spectral purity and wider frequency range. This is significant as forefront areas such as quantum sensing and wireless communications that rely on ultra-precise measurement and ultra-sensitive detection require more adaptable, higher-purity, frequency sources.

In the recent past, it has been established beyond doubt that by leveraging the unique quantum properties of sub-atomic particles, information can yield unparalleled advantages in diverse disciplines of information processing including computing, communication, cryptography and control. In fact, protocols such as quantum key distribution accomplish tasks hitherto believed impossible. Notably, these protocols have been demonstrated in practice and research is underway to scale them up. We are shaping up towards emergence of a new age in information processing.
Project Description:
The Prins lab, in collaboration with the group of Carlos Antón Solanas (https://www.antonsolanaslab.com) is offering a fully funded 4-year PhD-positions at the Condensed Matter Physics Center of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). The position is offered in the scope of the ERC-CoG EnVision project, focused on enabling controlled energy transport in semiconductors using a range of state-of-the-art time resolved microscopy techniques.
