PhD

The Quantum Information Science group at the University of Warwick is seeking a PhD student starting October 2017 in the area of quantum enhanced imaging. This is a theoretical project funded by QUANTIC (UK National Quantum Technology Hub in Quantum Enhanced Imaging). By exploring possibilities of modifying source and/or detector characteristics, the project aims to design microscopy schemes with resolution not limited by Rayleigh’s criterion.

A postdoctoral position and PhD positions are available in the group of Quantum Information Theory at Hanyang University(ERICA) in Korea. The successful candidates will work as part of the research group led by Joonwoo Bae, in topics of fundamental aspects of quantum information theory and their applications.

We invite applications for experimental and theoretical post-doctoral researchers in the field of quantum optics, cold atoms, atom spectroscopy, and atom vapor cells. We offer a highly stimulating and energetic environment for experimental and theoretical atomic physicists and very competitive offers for both domestic and international applicants, including generous re-location packages. Applicants should have extensive experience in atomic physics and ultra-cold atoms.

Join one of the most vibrant places for quantum science in Europe!
The Vienna Doctoral Program on Complex Quantum Systems (CoQuS) has been a training center for more than a hundred students the past 10 years. Our 15 different research groups are working on the forefront of the developments in modern quantum science and technology at six different locations in and around Vienna. The research disciplines are spread widely from pure fundamental to applied quantum science.

A fully funded doctoral student position is available on microwave quantum backscatter communication at the Department of Communications and Networking, Aalto University, Finland.
