PhD

We are currently offering a PhD position for motivated people interested in studying experimental quantum optics and quantum communication. The position is in the Group of Applied Physics, led by Profs Nicolas Gisin and Hugo Zbinden, at the University of Geneva. The successful candidate can start immediately.

* 6 Phd student positions.
* Recruitment: September 23-24, 2010.
* Deadline: September 20, 2010.

The main aim is to conduct the state-of-the-art research during the preparation of PhD theses within 4 years. At the same time the programme aims at intensifying international cooperation of the Polish research units. Each Phd Student is expected to spent from 6 to 24 months in the collaborating foreign laboratories.

We are currently offering a postdoctoral position and two PhD positions to highly motivated and well-qualified young researchers who intend to enhance their scientific career in the field of Quantum Information Theory and/or Quantum Optics. The positions are associated with the research group of Barbara Kraus at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, University of Innsbruck, Austria. The appointed candidates could start at their earliest convenience.

We offer 12 PhD positions at the Gdańsk University. This PhD project is organized by the Institute of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics and the Institute of Experimental Physics.

The activities within the project include active participation in one of the research projects:
