The quantum group at the University of Malta is recruiting a tenure track lecturer!

We are a young theoretical quantum physics group working on the lovely island of Malta. We are based in the Department of Physics at the University of Malta, a vibrant research-led department with active interests in the quantum world, applications of electromagnetism, and astrophysics and cosmology. The work of our group spans the fields of quantum optics, including quantum optomechanics and quantum information, and quantum thermodynamics.

The Department of Physics at the University of Siegen invites applications for a

Junior professorship (W1) for theoretical quantum optics
with tenure-track option for a permanent professorship (W2)

The Virginia Tech Department of Mathematics anticipates a tenure-track opening in Quantum Information with a start date of August 10, 2018. The successful candidate will have a research program in the mathematical aspects of quantum information theory. Possible specialties include, but are not limited to, quantum information theory, quantum error correction, topological quantum computation, holography in quantum information, quantum control, many-body entanglement, or mathematics applicable to any of these topics.

The Schools of Engineering and Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University invite applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the junior level (Assistant or untenured Associate Professor) in the broadly defined field of quantum science and engineering with particular emphasis on all aspects of quantum computing and information. Priority will be given to the overall originality and promise of the candidate’s work over any particular specialization area or department affiliation.

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Louisiana State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in experimental quantum optics or atomic, molecular and optical (AMO) physics starting Fall 2018. The faculty in LSU’s Quantum Science and Technology (QST) group include Thomas Corbitt, Jonathan Dowling, Hwang Lee, Ravi Rau, Georgios Veronis, and Mark M. Wilde. The group carries out an active research program in quantum optics theory, as well as the quantum optics experimental activity of Corbitt.
