The Hannover Centre for Optical Technologies (HOT) invites applications for the position of a

Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d)
(Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %)

starting the next possible date. This fixed-term post is initially available for three years with the possibility of an extension.

Responsibilities and duties
The duties of this position include the leading of the design and implementation of fiber-based/integrated photonic quantum systems and experiments for applications in quantum science and information processing also in conjunction with interested companies as well as supporting research of Dr. Kues’ group.

Employment conditions
Applicants to the position must have a relevant PhD degree, for example in physics, optical technologies, photonics and optics. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in optics, photonics and quantum science, supported by publications in international renowned journals and conference presentations. The candidate has already demonstrated the ability to work together with experts from a broad background in science and technology and brings an entrepreneur-like attitude. In addition, excellent communication skills in English, oral as well as written, are expected.
