The Quantum Phonics group, located at the Université de Moncton and led by Dr Lambert Giner, is inviting applications for a graduate student (MSc) to join the project “Characterizing quantum states via non-invasive measurements”.
• Essential requirements:
o The student should have a Bachelor of Science in Physis (or internation equivalent). Student with Bachelor of Science in Mathematics or bachelor’s in engineering can be also considered if they can attest that they have successfully completed some physics courses such as Quantum Mechanics, Optics, Electromagnetism and experimental physics classes.
o Language requirement: French . If the student has not done part of their studies in French (either high school ou university) a language test such as TEF may be required.
• Addition desired skills:
o The student has some experience working with free space optics or integrated optics through internships.
o The student has some coding knowledge using C#, Python, Matlab attested through projects in experimental classes.
• Stipend: The student will receive the standard stiped funded by the supervisor’s research grants and will receive additional compensation from a teaching assistantship position. The student will be encouraged to apply to scholarship and will be helped in the writing process by the supervisor. Also, the student will be eligible to a number on internal university scholarships.
