Postdoctoral position in quantum many-body theory, quantum information theory, or quantum optics
We are currently offering a postdoctoral position to a highly motivated and well-qualified researcher who intends to enhance his or her career in the fields of quantum many-body theory, quantum information science, or quantum optics. The successful candidate will work in the Qmio research group led by Prof. Jens Eisert at the Free University of Berlin. We are a young, international, leading group in these fields of research, driven by a stimulating climate of open discussion and creative thought. All applicants whose research interests are compatible with ours are most welcome. Applicants must have demonstrated excellent research accomplishment in the past.
Candidates should hold a degree in physics, mathematics or computer science, or provide evidence for its successful completion in the near future. The appointed candidate may start as soon as possible. The postdoctoral position will be available for either one or two years, and can be extended depending on a successful initial phase.

The salary will amount to E13 on the German payment scale.
The group is based in Berlin, the capital of Germany, as part of the Dahlem Center for Complex Quantum Systems at the Free University, which is one of eight leading, research-driven German universities singled out in the national German Excellence Initiative.
