Lecturer in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics

£33,230 - £44,607 per annum depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance
Applications are invited for the above post available in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Nottingham. This new post is part of an expansion of the Nottingham Condensed Matter Theory Group, which builds upon the Group’s success in research. Applications are welcome from candidates working in all areas of theoretical condensed matter physics, atomic and molecular physics and quantum optics, statistical and soft matter physics, and computational physics. The successful applicant will be expected to establish an independent, internationally leading programme of research, which complements and enhances the current work of the Nottingham Condensed Matter Theory Group.
Candidates should have a PhD, or equivalent, in a relevant subject, together with relevant research experience. An interest, and preferably experience, in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate level is also desirable.
This full-time, permanent post is available from 1 October 2013 or earlier by agreement.
