The Photonic Quantum Information Processing (PQuIP) group at the University of Ottawa is looking for candidates for a PhD student position with focus on Light-matter interaction for quantum applications. The group has a broad range of interest from quantum communication and networks to quantum metrology and computing. We will theoretically explore light-matter interfaces such as atomic ensembles, cavity QED, defects in solids, and Rydberg physics for various applications in quantum communication and metrology.

Quantum Engineering Science and Technology (QUEST) group at Northwestern University invites applications for two postdoctoral positions in theory and phenomenology of quantum information processing. These positions are for a minimum of two years with several possibilities of extensions, and come with competitive salary and benefits.
