The Light-Matter Interactions for Quantum Technologies Unit (https://groups.oist.jp/light), headed by Prof. Sile Nic Chormaic and located at OIST Graduate University, invites applications for a postdoc or staff scientist to work on an existing experimental setup on cold Rydberg atoms and optical nanofibres. The position is for a start around mid-2024. For those with significant experience post PhD, the appointment may be at staff scientist level (fixed duration).

School of Applied Mathematics of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Moscow, Russia, invites applications for a postdoc position in Mathematical methods for quantum information and quantum control technologies, see the description and requirements at https://iri.hse.ru/ru/Postdoc6

This research fellowship in the field of quantum sensing will be undertaken in both the ESA Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality (D/TEC) and the Directorate of Earth Observation Programmes (D/EOP). In this way, as a Research Fellow you will benefit from the blue-sky, theoretical focus of the Advanced Concepts Team within D/TEC at ESTEC during your first year, transferring in your second year to the D/EOP Future Missions Division (EOP-FM) to enable the practical application of your research.

The Peter Grünberg Institute for Quantum Control (PGI-8) at the Forschungszentrum Jülich specialises in novel optimisation strategies for emerging quantum technologies. These emerging technologies aim to provide transformative changes to our society, including how we think about information, and unlocking vast calculations for the natural sciences, logistical problem solving, and high-performance computation. Our group has pioneered the application of quantum optimal control methods to quantum computation and many-body quantum systems.
