MSc Fellowships in Quantum Computer Science

Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology now offers an educational track in 'quantum computer science'.

Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) is a unique English-speaking international graduate only research university, located just outside of Moscow. Established in collaboration with M.I.T., Skoltech integrates the best Russian scientific traditions with twenty-first century entrepreneurship and innovation. The core components of the educational material will be delivered by members of Deep Quantum Labs which is lead by Prof Jacob Biamonte. (DeepQuantum.AI) as well as other Skoltech Faculty members.

The course is two years. Students will complete a thesis. All students accepted into this program will receive a tuition waiver (covering the full price of tuition) as well as starting monthly stipend of 40k RUB (tax free) which goes to 55k RUB (tax free) after proven performance for six months.

Prior experience in quantum physics is not required.

Track title. Masters in Quantum Computer Science
Degree program. CSE “Mathematics and Computer Science”
Maging CREI. CDISE

Topical description. The course aims to produce leaders in the area of quantum enhanced technology, able to program quantum processors being built by e.g. IBM, Google, Intel and D-Wave Systems Inc. Students will receive cutting edge training covering the theory and foundations of the topic of quantum computing, quantum communications and information science. This multidisciplinary program bridges the gap between theory and practice when it comes to near-term and existing quantum enhanced technology. The program is self-contained, with an intake cohort including students with backgrounds across the mathematical and physical sciences.
