Applications are invited for a PhD position on quantum causality, focussing on the characterization of nonclassicality in the presence of (definite and) indefinite causal order. The position is funded by the QuanTEdu-France (France 2030) project at Aix-Marseille Université in the Calcul Naturel (CANA) team of the computer science lab, Laboratoire d’Informatique et des Systèmes (LIS). The project will be supervised by Ravi Kunjwal (Marseille) with co-supervision by Ognyan Oreshkov (Brussels).
The interested candidate must be well-versed in the fundamentals of quantum information theory at the Master level, whether in computer science, physics, or related disciplines. Previous research experience in quantum information and/or familiarity with research on quantum causality is desirable.
The position is expected to start in September 2024 for a duration of 3 years. Please send a copy of your CV (1 page), a 2-page motivation letter, academic transcripts, and contact details (name/email/institution) of two academic references to [email protected].
