Topological states exhibit protected currents and robust localization that can stabilize unique functions in stochastic and biological systems. This exciting and growing field opens fundamental theoretical questions in non-Hermitian and dissipative physics with new mathematical and physical properties. Postdoc and PhD positions are available in Evelyn Tang’s group at Rice University and our Center for Theoretical Biological Physics, within the university's lively theoretical condensed matter community in quantum and biological systems.
