We are currently offering an (extendable) 3-year postdoctoral position to a highly motivated and well-qualified young researcher who intends to enhance his or her career on the intersection of condensed matter theory and quantum information science. We are a leading research group with a culture of open discussion, creative interdisciplinary thought and substantial international collaborations. Potential research topics include the following:
- Tensor network approaches,
- mathematical and analytical notions of topological order,
- entanglement theory,
- topological quantum computing and quantum memories.
The full E13 position will be financed by the CRC 183 on entangled states of matter, with Berlin, Cologne, Copenhagen, and the Weizmann Institute being partners. Applicants must have demonstrated excellent research accomplishments in the past. Candidates must hold a PhD degree in physics or mathematics or should obtain such a degree in the near future. Interested candidates are invited to submit
