A postdoctoral position is available in quantum information science at the University of Southern California in the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering. This position is for a research project involving the theory of weak and continuous measurement, quantum trajectories, and closed-loop quantum control, under the supervision of Prof. Todd Brun. The successful applicant should have a Ph.D. in engineering, physics, computer science, or another related discipline, and have a solid background in this research area.

This postdoc will be part of a multi-university (MURI) team conducting basic and applied research on many aspects of quantum control, both theoretical and experimental, funded by the Army Research Office. This position will involve both collaboration with other team members and independent work, as well as research with Prof. Brun and his students. The postdoc will also be affiliated with the Center for Quantum Information Science and Technology (CQIST) at the University of Southern California.
