Postdoctoral Position in Ultrafast Quantum Optics

The Ultrafast Quantum Control Group at Dalhousie University and The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) to carry out research on the development of solid-state quantum emitters based on strained 2D semiconductors for the advancement of quantum technology applications such as sensors and quantum networks. The successful candidate will participate in a collaboration involving world leading experts in quantum control (Dalhousie) and nanofabrication (National Research Council of Canada - Ottawa) supported by the NRC Quantum Sensors Challenge Program. Components of the research will be carried out at both Dalhousie and NRC. Expertise in nonlinear optics and ultrafast laser physics is required. Experience in any of the following areas is considered an asset: semiconductor physics, quantum optics, laser pulse shaping, nanophotonic systems, photoluminescence microscopy, 2D semiconductor dry transfer techniques. Applicants are required to have a PhD in physics or a closely related discipline.
