We seek up to two highly motivated, skilled and independent researchers, who will join our quantum information systems group at (NUS ECE and CQT) and proactively contribute to ongoing and upcoming projects in quantum communication and quantum information theory.
The research fellows are expected to focus on, but not limited to, (1) the development of realistic schemes for quantum secure communication and quantum integrated photonics devices, and (2) the development of verification toolboxes for quantum coherence and quantum correlations (nonlocality, entanglement, etc) in networks.
This fixed-term position is based on fixed-term contracts that are renewable annually. The preferred start date is 1st of May 2018, but is negotiable depending on the circumstances of the successful applicants.
Candidates should hold a PhD in physics, engineering, or a closely related field and ideally have a strong background in one or several of the following areas: quantum information, quantum cryptography, quantum nonlocality, convex optimization, quantum optics, integrated photonics, or signal processing. Solid programming skills and experience in quantum entropies and numerical simulation are highly desirable for the project.
Interested candidates are invited to send in their applications (CV/resume and a two-page research statement) to Dr Charles Lim at [email protected]
