Postdoctoral Scholar in Quantum Nanophotonics and Optomechanics

Job type:

Application deadline:

Friday, September 28, 2018

Two postdoctoral positions are available for projects developing and demonstrating diamond nanophotonic and optomechanical technologies for applications in quantum sensing and information processing, including but not limited to quantum transduction, quantum memory, wavelength translation, and spin-photon entanglement.

Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following: quantum emitter spectroscopy (e.g. quantum dots, NV centres, cold atoms), nanophotonic device design and experiment, nanofabrication, quantum optics experiment, cryogenics/low-T experiment, NEMS.

The positions will be supported by access to state of the art equipment and nanofabrication facilities, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the setup of a newly funded ($2M) quantum transduction and networking lab.

Interested candidates should email their CV, statement of interests/cover letter, and contact information for two references to Prof. Paul Barclay - [email protected]
