RESEARCHER: THEORETICAL QUANTUM PHYSICIST (SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER) THREE YEAR FIXED TERM APPOINTMENT

One of the focus areas of the South African Research Chair Initiative (SARChI) Chair in Quantum Information Processing and Communication is the theory of open quantum systems. To strengthen this focus area, we are seeking an additional researcher with expertise in modelling dissipation and decoherence within Markovian and non-Markovian approaches.
The incumbent will report to the SARChI Chair. Minimum Requirements:
PhD and postdoctoral experience (or similar research experience) in relevant field
Publication record in the fields of open quantum systems and quantum information
processing and communication
Expertise in the theory of open quantum systems and the analytical solution of quantum master equations for applications in quantum information processing and communication.
