Applications are invited for two postdoctoral positions in experimental quantum optics and quantum information at Laboratoire Kastler Brossel (LKB), in Paris (France), in the research group led by Prof. Julien Laurat.
- One position will focus on the development of highly-efficient and multiplexed quantum memories based on large ensemble of cold atoms, and on the implementation of quantum networking/repeater protocols based on these devices. The proposed research is included in the European Flagship project “QIA: Quantum Internet Alliance” (http://quantum-internet.team).
- One position will focus on the development of novel waveguide-QED systems based on cold atoms coupled to nanophotonics structures, including nanofiber and slow-mode photonic crystal waveguides, towards quantum non-linear optics protocols in this emerging setting. The proposed research is included in the starting national ANR program “NanoStrong”.
The successful applicants will play a key role in these cutting-edge and stimulating consortia.
Eligibility and conditions: Candidates must hold an internationally recognized PhD.-equivalent degree in a field related to experimental quantum physics. The dynamic and highly-motivated candidate should have a track record of experimental research in either quantum optics, quantum information or atomic physics. The positions are open as soon as possible.
Application procedure: Inquiries and applications should be sent by email to Julien Laurat ([email protected]). Applications should include a detailed CV, a brief statement of research interests and two names of potential referees. The call will remain open until the suitable candidates are identified.
LKB is jointly run by Ecole Normale Supérieure, Sorbonne Université Collège de France and CNRS.
