The group of Miguel Navascués at the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information Vienna (IQOQI-Vienna) is opening two postdoc positions of two years each. The Navascués group works in the interplay between quantum information theory and quantum foundations. Some of the group’s current research directions are the certification of global properties in many-body quantum systems, the realizability of universal devices for time translation and the automated generation of quantum adaptive protocols, see the group’s site for details.

We are seeking creative and talented physicists/mathematicians/computer scientists with high stamina, and a passion for quantum physics. We offer an annual gross salary of € 55.242,60 (full time based, before taxes), according to the salary scheme of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). Depending on qualification and experience, the salary can be negotiated.

Your tasks:
• Carrying theoretical research in quantum information theory/quantum foundations.
• Supporting the group leader in preparing project proposals.
• Being involved in various administrative tasks such as supervision of students.
