Centre for Atomic Molecular and Optical Physics, University of Warsaw

Short name:

CAMOP

Research type:

In our work, we focus on supporting and integrating the local scientific community by organizing seminars and meetings, promoting student initiatives and faculty-wide events, and dissemination of information via the website and Twitter. Bearing in mind the international nature of modern science, through fellowship programs, we want to enable cooperation and visits by outstanding foreign scientists for short or long-term visits. Our activities will also include the organization of an international summer school for PhD students interested in AMO physics and support for the organization of scientific conferences.

The Centre for Atomic Molecular and Optical Physics has been established in 2020 as an action within the Excellence Initiative – Research University Program 2020-2026 awarded to the University of Warsaw by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland. The Centre works within the second Priority Research Area: “Beyond Micro and Macro Worlds”. The area of these actions focuses on supporting and developing disciplines with high research potential, such as atomic, molecular and optical physics.
