The JARA Institute for Quantum Information is a joined initiative of the RWTH Aachen University and of the Research Center Jülich. It combines the forces of theoretical and experimental research in quantum information science, with the overarching goal of contributing to the realization of large-scale quantum computation. Key research topics include semiconductor spin-qubits (physics and technology), quantum error correction, Majorana qubits and new principles for the implementation of quantum computation in noisy systems.
