I was born in Madrid (Spain) in 1979. I obtained a PhD in Mathematics at Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2009. I spent one year (2010) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a visiting assistant professor. In 2011 I joined the CSIC-ICMAT with a Juan de la Cierva contract. From December 2013 on, I enjoy a Ramon y Cajal contract at Universidad Complutense de Madrid-ICMAT.
The main topics of my research are functional analysis and quantum information theory. Most of my work is focused on the applications of the operator space theory to quantum information theory; in particular to the theory of Bell inequalities and nonlocal games, quantum entanglement and quantum channels. Part of this work is very closely related to certain problems in the field of operator algebras.
